Polyetheretherketone PEEK

PEEK is a semi-crystalline high-performance thermoplastic polymer with very good mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties. It is distinguished by excellent resistance to high temperatures as well as good sliding properties, which explains the use of PEEK for the production of machine and device components.

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is characterized by:

•   excellent thermal resistance to high ambient temperatures of up to 260°C,
•     very good physical and mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures – high mechanical strength, rigidity, and hardness,
•     excellent chemical resistance,
•     excellent resistance to hydrolysis – PEEK material is not soluble in water,
•     very high dimensional stability,
•     very high abrasion resistance with a low coefficient of friction,
•     low flammability and low smoke emission.
