Polymethyl methacrylate PMMA Plexiglass

Plexiglas is a plastic material made from polymers of polymethyl methacrylate. In its original form, Plexi is a colourless, rigid, but also thermoplastic material, which allows for easy machining and shaping.

Plexi is a material that is extremely resistant to UV radiation. As a result, the material shows no sign of yellowing.

Due to its strength, polymethyl methacrylate is used in the production of small utility items and machine or device elements (components, coverings, containers, laboratory equipment, and ophthalmic instruments).

Advantages of PMMA: transparency, very good resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions, excellent resistance to many corrosive chemicals, easy machining and thermal processing, approved for contact with food, easily recycled, recyclable, light transmittance of up to 90%, and resistance to aging.
